The two seasons I have most difficulty styling are summer and winter. Winter cramps my style because anything cute just ends up being swallowed whole by a parka. Summer, on the other hand, is challenging because it's often too damn hot to even want to bother wearing clothes at all. Maybe that's a good thing, but I have a lot of separation anxiety when it comes to ditching the layers with the warmer weather. Because of this, I tend to continue to layer but choose lighter options. Instead of my beloved, yet stuffy and un-breathable leather jacket, I'll go with a lighter option like a linen trench coat or this denim jacket. I've been loving warm and cozy high necks all fall and winter-long, so I turned the temperature down through this sleeveless body con dress for summer. These options will keep you warm on cool summer nights, but allow you to breathe and shed layers during the afternoon heat.
