Welcome to my take on the Canadian Tuxedo. I think it's a Canadian style blogger rite of passage to post your version of denim-on-denim. Here's mine.

Technically, I'm only in a two-piece tuxedo with denim jeans and a denim jacket. A formal three-piece would have featured a denim button-up shirt, instead of the striped tee I opted for here.  I used to think denim-on-denim was a laughable combination, but after rocking this look, I think my opinion has changed.

The inspiration for this entire look was the Harley Davidson denim jacket. I guess you can technically call it "vintage" since it's my mom's baby from the early 90's, purchased in Texas on one of my parents' frequent motorcycle road trips (I only borrowed it, mom made sure of that). My parents are flat out bikers. Growing up, I remember my mom and dad's main fashion staples were always some version of denim, leather and biker boots, paired with a Harley patch, pin or sticker to complete the look. I saw this jacket in my mom's closet, and had to make it the star of the show. Turns out, I love this jacket as much as my mom does. She still looks cooler in it than I do, though.

I guess the apple didn't really fall that far, did it?

The star of the show. Thanks, Mom.
