Multi-tasking: One Dress Done 4 Ways
Keeping up with the latest trends can be expensive and daunting. How many times have you gone to buy that ruffled, sparkly or bedazzled piece only to find you wore it once and then shoved it in the back of your closet, never to be thought of again? My closet used to explode with fast-fashion, on trend pieces that lacked quality and versatility. Then I discovered the value of investing in some classic, well-made pieces that 1) you love, and 2) you can wear in a number of different ways (Disclaimer: I still have a long way to go when it comes to culling my closet - it's a process!).
Multi-tasking is an employable and desirable trait on your resume, so why shouldn't your clothes do it too? Here, I'm aiming to style my Wilfed Bossut dress from Aritzia (all items linked below) in 4 different ways. How many ways can you style your favourite piece?

1. The Dress
Wear the dress as it was meant to be. On it's own, or under a blazer or jacket. Make it the statement.
2. The Cardigan/Jacket
Shirt-dresses are particularly versatile, since you can wear them as a layering piece, open or closed. Try styling it as a layer, over or underneath your other favourites.
3. The Twist-Tie
Accentuate your waist and bring up the length of the dress by tying it in a cute fashion knot on the front, side or back of the shirt.
4. The Fashion Tuck
The half-tuck, or the "Fashion Tuck" as I like to call it, is when you throw on your top and tuck in a seemingly random piece of the shirt to remind everyone you are 1) wearing pants, 2) you have a waist, and 3) you're just that effortless. It works.
