Closet Staples: The Slip Dress
Aritzia Christine Dress | Zara Leather Jacket (similar here) | Zara booties (similar here) | Stradivarius Plaid Coat (NorthAmerican dupe here)| Kate Spade Bag (on sale now!) | Mejuri earrings, choker, necklace
The slip dress is the perfect "what to wear" item when you feel like you have nothing to wear. It's easy, takes almost no thought at all, but makes any look look effortless and chic.
Edge it up with a leather jacket and booties like I have here, or cozy it down with a chunky knit sweater and some slides. You can go all business by paring it with your smartest oxfords and a blazer, or you can turn it into a luxe cami by tucking it into your trousers or jeans.
It's perfect for date night all on its own when you want to feel a bit elegant, and even better when you style it with a sporty bomber jacket and your favourite sneakers. You can even pay tribute to your inner Cher Horowitz and layer it on top of a tee or turtleneck for that 90's preppy girl vibe (unless the look gets you, like, totally buggin').
The silk slip dress is probably the most versatile piece in my closet. I've worn it to weddings, to work, and on a lazy Sunday at home. It just works for every situation. You'll always look stylish and feel chic in a slip dress. I've linked some of my favourite options below - check it out!
xx,
Christina
